The STC is an ideal companion for activities where pack size and weight play a decisive role. With its compact dimensions, the spotting scope is smaller than a standard sheet of paper and will fit easily in any backpack or carry-on bag. The STC only weighs slightly over 2 pounds and won't slow you down on long hunts.

A removable half shell is attached to the bottom of the spotting scope using the tripod thread, which allows it to rest in your hand or on a firm surface without blocking the zoom wheel. this allows comfortable, stable observation even without a tripod. The carrying strap supplied can be fitted directly to the spotting scope and provides fast access.

The last time Swarovski introduced a new addition to their spotting scope line, they surprised most of us by going above and beyond the normal limits of spotting scope sizes. The 115 was a welcome addition to the line and really made it feel like they offered a spotting scope for any scenario.

Well… they must have thought differently. The 65mm just wasn’t light and packable enough. Enter the brand new STC and ATC spotting scopes. These are part of a brand new product line that does not share the modularity of the X line. The specs will tell you that they are light and small, but just wait until you get one in your hands.

At just 2 lb, these are 17-40x56mm spotting scopes that… get this… feature the exact same optical system as the ATX and STX. That includes Swarovision technology. They may not be part of the modular series, but you aren’t sacrificing any quality or clarity in this much smaller package.

I spend over 100 days in the field every year typically looking for sheep in multiple states. I have a variety of optics that I run depending on the location and conditions. This year with a backpack hunt in Alaska and a backpack hunt in the Cabeza Prieta Wildlife Refuge of Arizona I chose to run a pair of 12x42 NL’s and a STC spotter with a tripod equipped for both. What a lightweight and amazing combo for back country hunts. Couldn’t be more happy with the durability, clarity, overall performance of both. The optics speak for themselves in the field. Love Love Love them….

Swarovski STC spotter

Just got my new stc spotter. Love it, half the size and half the weight of my stx scope. Just what I needed to complete my glass collection. It’s as clear and bright as all my other swaro glass I own.

My initial thoughts are great! It’s light, compact and super clear. I traded my ATS 65 for it and I think I will be pleased for most hunts. I look forward to drawing a lot of tags this fall to give it a real test. Oryx or goats would be great but elk and deer will do also.
