Which Stud Do I Need?

Why do my binoculars tilt side to side?

When the adapter is fully locked you may still notice side-to-side tilt. That’s intentional: glassing on flat ground is rare, so leveling matters — and a little give helps reduce damage if something spills or impacts the setup.

As for the stud and tripod adapter with arca plate, these work as described and are top notch. The 8x32s have an asymmetrical electronics housing bulge on the barrel compared to the 42s, which this bulge hits on the adapter post and causes the binos to rest at an angle when you have the barrels squeezed together at normal glassing width. This can be corrected by canting the tripod head if yours has that function (my Tricer LP does not). So I have to set my tripod up to lean to one side to level out the binos. Possibly the adapter built for the larger objective binos would provide more clearance for this electronics bulge on the barrel and partly or entirely resolve this issue. Regardless, it's high quality stuff and the guys at the shop were great to work with.
