Absolutely love it. Used it October 11th on a 14" Antelope at 312yds. Couldn't have made the shot without it. It's quite, very easy adjust on unlevel ground. I have a Gen 1 and now the Gen 2. Soon will be replacing my other bipods with the Gen 2. Well worth the $$$. I must also mention the service I received was great. Didn't expect extremely fast delivery. Thanks to all you.
I haven’t had the 2nd get 27” for long, but so far, I’ve been happy with it.
Excellent bipod, love all the options and stability. I already have bipod picatinny attachments on all my rifles, and there is just a bit of play with the slip on picatinny option, so I am swapping it out for the ADM mount option to be extra rock solid.
Best ever bipod for my purposes.
I had the opportunity to use this bipod recently at a long range shooting school in the high desert of eastern Oregon. The course was two days covering ranges from 400 yards to one mile. The Hatch Outwest Gen 2 provided a solid platform. Adjusting cant to level the rifle was an ease. The ADM ARCA clamp is rock solid, even on a long action rifle. In the rocky and dusty terrain of eastern Oregon the leg adjustment was smooth and fast!
Having used other brands in multiple austere environments, the Hatch Outwest is definitely the most versatile and user friendly. The range of adjustments is easy to use and allows stable positions in prone, sitting and kneeling. The Gen 2 has all the improvements you want and is built like a tank!
Well thought out with many improvements over Gen 1 version, by far the best improvement is the Push-Button leg release, make is easy and fast with no struggles as well as the ability to get it in to any position for shooting with ease
