The Gen 2 series of tripods is also based on the idea that hunters often require multiple tripod setups for different applications. Between the vast opportunity for modularity and an industry-first blend of carbon fiber and Innegra materials, this tripod is now as durable, capable, and adaptable as we can possibly make it.

Think of it this way: Each model of our tripods has been to fat camp, then boot camp, then space camp. The result is a set of tripods that are significantly lighter (11 oz on the Tall) and significantly stronger while maintaining their stability. We hope you can appreciate how awesome that is.

All Gen 2 Carbon Innegra Tripods now ship with the Pro Center Post. The "PCP," as we call it, breaks down into two sections and allows the tripod legs to splay completely flat for shooting. Also included is the "Sidecar" tripod clip which stores the bottom center post section when not in use.

Designed to Last a Lifetime

Materials

The Gen 2 Tripod uses a blend of materials to ensure the lightest, strongest, and most stable glassing platform possible while keeping the constraints of a hunter in mind. The trunnion, locks, and pivoting mechanism are machined from aircraft-grade 6061 T6 aluminum. The leg sections are made from a blend of carbon fiber and Innegra – The first of its kind.

1000-Year Service Life

We've designed the Gen 2 Tripod to be indestructible. That being said, the world is often unpredictable, so we've designed virtually every piece to be self-serviceable both in and out of the field. We don't expect repairs to be common, but it's nice to know you can do them yourself.

Modular Components

Each section of the Gen 2 Tripod is designed be modular. The feet can be swapped for different types of terrain, the leg tubes can be interchanged between Carbon Innegra and Aluminum (coming soon), and the Center Post can be replaced with one of our various size options. We provide the platform, but you make the tripod truly yours.

Sturdy, Light, and well built

It is an exceptionally well built tripod the quality of materials is top shelf. The toughness of the carbon innegra cannot be overstated. These carbon innegra tubes are so freaking durable the tripod's toughness is incredible.

I’ve owned the original two section per leg Outdoorsmans tripod with the center post extension for around 25 years. It has served me well and boy it looks beat up but still functions like brand new. I almost upgraded to the tall tripod a couple of years ago. Thank goodness I didn’t because this new tall carbon/Innegra tall tripod is lighter than my old rig. More height, more stable and lighter. What more can a gear head ask for? Well, probably a better price but this thing is well worth the buckaroos!

Another great product from Outdoorsmans

I have owned the gen 1 standard tripod for a few seasons and had no troubles with it. I was looking for a bit lighter weight with the same stability and ruggedness and the gen 2 fit that bill. Used around home and on a 9 days backcountry trip in MT and paired with the new gen 2 tripod head, couldn’t have a better design!! The buttons on the legs to pivot the legs out are more user friendly. Overall A+ rating on the combo!
