Why do my binoculars tilt side to side?
When the adapter is in the fully locked position you may notice that the binoculars are still able to tilt from side to side. This is intentional and necessary for two reasons:

  1. Glassing on flat ground is not a common occurrence and being able to level the binoculars is vital to staying comfortable and effective while glassing.
  2. Mistakes happen and sometimes spills can happen. If something like that were to happen, having a little give in the adapter will help to reduce damage and impact.

Best bino adapter on the market...

After considering the many different drawbacks associated with all of the less-expensive bino adapter options that were available on the market a few years ago, I came to the conclusion that I didn’t want to waste my money on an adapter that was a hassle to use, knowing that I'd never really be very happy with it. That said, after discovering the Outdoorsmans Adapter, and finding out that they were considered to be the best on the market by quite a few people back then, I bought my first one back in July 2020. I then purchased a 2nd one in December 2020, and a 3rd one (which I bought used via eBay to save a few bucks) in May 2021, and a 4th one more recently in May 2022. That said, I've purchased a total of 4 of these within the past 2 years, although I would have stopped at #3 if I didn't end up giving one to a friend. Anyway, so what do I think of them? Well, for starters, they're small, they take up virtually no space, and weigh almost nothing. But even more importantly, they're super-quick, convenient, and very easy to use. So in short, they're outstanding, and I'm sure they're high likely to still be the best bino adapters on the market too. However, these little doo-dads aren't cheap, or perhaps even a little overpriced, in my opinion. I also noticed that they took on a slight price increase when purchasing the 4th one that I bought in May. But if these weren't truly excellent adaptors, you can bet that MutntGear, Vortex, and Leupold wouldn't have pirated Outdoorsmans design the way they blatently did. But none of those imitations strike me as being as nice as the Outdoorsmans. They're all pretty expensive too, so you might as well buy the real McCoy. That way at least you can feel good about supporting Outdoorsmans as the original inivator. After all, it's only right thing to do, or at least that's certainly the way I feel about it. But in short, I'd highly recommend the Outdoorsmans adapter over every adapter that I've seen out there.

Easy, Smooth fit

This is the 3rd Universal Stud I've bought for Nikon/Vortex binoculars. It's an easy install to the binoculars and it fits the tripod adapter perfectly.

Perfect fit

Fits perfectly on my Sig Kilo 3K BDX with the low bino adapter. Definitely recommend.
