This stud for the 2018 model of the Zeiss RF binocular has a unique design that requires minimal work to install.
First, remove the battery cap of your binoculars. You will also remove the small rubber O-ring and the spring from the battery cap. Place the O-ring and spring in the exact same location on the Zeiss RF Stud and screw the stud onto the binocular using the Allen wrench cutout.

When the adapter is in the fully locked position you may notice that the binoculars are still able to tilt from side to side. This is intentional and necessary for two reasons:
- Glassing on flat ground is not a common occurrence and being able to level the binoculars is vital to staying comfortable and effective while glassing.
- Mistakes happen and sometimes spills can happen. If something like that were to happen, having a little give in the adapter will help to reduce damage and impact.
