Swarovski CL Companion 8x30

I was on the fence about using small binoculars (especially 8x30s) instead of my various 40-50mms but got tired of carrying the larger ones around. After buying these, I must say, I was impressed and they exceeded my expectations. Out of the box, I could tell the glass was topnotch. However, it wasn't until I used them in the field in hunting conditions that they proved their worth. The first outing with them was chasing turkeys through the cypress swamps and fields of Florida trying to bag an Osceola. The small frames allowed me to easily "one hand" them while slipping along edges, peering through brush. Not only is the glass stellar crisp but they performed much better than anticipated at first and last lite. I plan on using these much more, especially on upcoming road trips in the west and more spot and stalk hunts where weight is an issue. If you are at all considering a smaller set, don't second guess it; just do it. These are great and you will not regret it.
