It's hot out there. Fortunately, this bad boy can handle a 32oz Nalgene bottle and keep you hydrated before, during and after a long stalk.

Hydration holster

I recently purchased the hydration holster and attached it to the belly strap of my Simms sling pack for a day of walking the Lake Michigan shoreline through the bays and back bays looking for carp, smallmouth, and pike. It did its job well and never tossed the water bottle even when I unhooked the strap it was on and dragged it through the water when tying on a new fly, fixing tippet, or netting a fish. It is a convenient way to attach a water bottle to gear that doesn’t have a water bottle pocket.

Does its job

I agree with the comment from Blake, bottle holster worked great and could slide out of the way. Held my 32 oz nalgene perfect, for $20 you couldn't ask for a more practical product.

Practical

Just used this on a NM bear hunt, the comment that the bottle will slide is accurate but I found that to be a positive. I would slide it back right next to my pack and it would stay there until I needed it and in my experience it made no noise whatsoever. One handed operation could be tricky but it also weighs nothing and there is something to be said about that, I’m sure a beefier construction could aid in one handed use but it would undoubtedly add weight. I may not be picky but I feel like it was a solid purchase and would buy it again. 5 stars.

Light weight and does as advertised.

I saw that some people didn't have an issue with noise but I did. I agree that the ability to move it side to side was a plus but would have liked to lock it in place with some clips or something. However clips can be made for cheap or free so I don't want to drop the star rating too much. This like everything the outdoorsman makes is quality and very well thought out. Great job guys.

Not the best product.

When attached to the pack systems waist band as shown in the photo, it freely slides around making noise and getting in the way. Had to use duck tape to prevent it from sliding around. It also attaches in the middle of the pouch so your bottle has a high center of gravity and wants to tip away from you body. Even at $20.00 it is over priced.
