Need a better design

The flocking tape on the inside of the ring wears rapidly. After 3 uses the flocking tape pills and does not make for a snug fit on the eyepiece. In fact the ring does not easily slip over the eyepiece due the seam of the flocking tape bunching up. I would not buy this ring until there is a new design for the flocking tape. Ideally a ring should be designed without the flocking tape so the metal ring easily slips over the rubber eyepiece and holds the the ring and phone case in position. Very dissatisfied!
