Outdoorsmans Bino Hand

I'm running a pair of very old Leica Geovid's (probably 1st Gen) that I just couldn't find any sort of tripod attachment for. I have other nicer pairs of binos that will eventually take over but, I've just grown attached to that very first RF Binocular I bought, and being older, don't mind if they get a little more beat up then the newer ones I haven't spent as much time with (electronic improvements do take time to learn). As much as I love those, I just could not find a binocular attachment for my tripod for more stable, and a heck of a lot more comfortable glassing sessions when not using a spotting scope. I've used and tried everything over the years but, new I couldn't be as stable if it was mounted to the tripod. I was familair with Outdoorsman's bino adapter that many of my friends use but, learned it was not compatible with my binos. Eventually I just Googled "Tripod Mount for Leica Geovid" and the Bino Hand popped up. Being an Outdoorsman product, it was a no brainer. First time used, I sat on one ridge for just over 5hrs glassing and not only did I realize how much more comfortable this made long glassing sessions, it also showed me what I may have been missing without as stable of a platform this gives. As much as I like the idea of the Bino Adapter (keep it attached), I do like the versatility of the Bino Hand to use on any set of binoculars if I had any intention of running different sets of glass throughout a hunt. It does cinch down very well where there is no wobble. Only "con" and I'm not sure how you'd fix this is that when taking the binos out of the bino hand is that it is a little noisy as the rachet loop is loosened up. If no noise is what you require, remove the entire arca base plate with Bino Hand all together to keep any noise down. All in all, probably the best $90 I've spent in a long time. This will get a lot use!!!

The Bino Hand works so much better than the strap type holder with my Geovid binos. They are very secure on my tripod. It took a few times of working the ratchet strap to get it broke in but got easier with more use.

It is very well put together. I am very happy with the product all around!

More than a little skeptical, stud was not an option with the Leica Pro’s…..found this product to be a great solution. Super tough
