This is the second hatch I have owned, I lost my first! It is without doubt the best hunting bipod on the market.

Sir,
I’ve owned most of the popular bipods in the past, and I would grade the Hatch as a C to a C-. The reasons are as follows: difficult to open up with old hands ( spring tension too great), extending the legs function is fine, but to make an shortening adjustment from the fully extended position causes the leg to collapse
which is a poor engineering design or mine is defective. Overall the bipod is clumsy. I wouldn’t recommend to others, there are many superior models out there in the same price range or cheaper.

It is slightly difficult to adjust the leg position until you use it a bit but then it works really well. Very quickly and easily adjustable leg height that goes taller than I need for a sitting position if needed. Great bipod especially for hunting in sage or deeper grass.

I would recommend this bipod to every hunter out there, I was walking with a buddy in Wyoming and we both walked up on a mule deer, we had flipped and he won the toss so he had first shot. I was able to quickly extend the legs and knell down and have a shot with 5-8 seconds, he however fumbled around and took more than 20-30 seconds. It seemed like forever and we didn't kill that deer. It is hands down the best bipod for hunting on the market simple because it can do everything the others can do and a few more things. Especially if you don't like shooting prone. But it will shoot prone also if you need it to. I like the ability to extend the legs in 2 seconds and take a knee and have a stable shot every time. I know its pricy but 100 dollars could be the difference in that B and C buck!!
