The Outdoorsmans Micro Pan Head is a great option for the ultralight hunter. Weighing in at only 7.5oz it can still hold any pair of binoculars and most spotting scopes perfectly still. A general recommendation to avoid unwanted vibration is to keep the spotting scopes to a maximum of 65mm. The Micro Pan Heads tilt and pan functions are extremely smooth making it the best head on the market when ounces
matter in your pack.
Adapter plate not included with the Micro Pan Head.

Proudly made in the USA.

  • 7.5oz machined aluminum

How does the Micro Pan Head differ from the Outdoorsmans Pan head?
Although both Lightweight Tripod Heads are designed to pan and tilt with ease, the Micro Pan Head is slightly smaller and lighter, ideal if you are looking at saving space and weight. If you mostly use larger optics, the Original Outdoorsmans Panhead is recommended.

Which adapter plates do I need?
All optics, cameras and rifle rests attach to the Quick Release Adapter system using a 1/4-20 Adapter Plate.

How does the Micro Pan Head attach to my tripod?
The Outdoorsmans Micro Pan Head attaches to a tripod using a 3/8 stud, or can be used with any of the Outdoorsmans Quick Release Adapters.

3 seasons and going strong

Purchased in 2018, just put my third season on the Micro Pan, probably pushing 70 days use. Still like new and handles my Swarovski 25-50x80 ATS, 15X, and even my BTX 95 in a pinch. Tough, functions well, and saves space and weight.

Got this Glassing n00b gridding very fast!

You can grid-out a ridge nice and fast with this and 15x's. Sometimes I don't tighten the arm for vertical tight enough, and when I go to physically move the whole setup over to a different spot, like other side of my lap.. sometimes the Binos will fall back over and smack my fingers, but that's on me for not tightening that lil arm more. And I VERY much appreciate the light weight! Have been really enjoying glassing with this and the 15's! Was using just ball-head before this. So nice to have the smooth horizontal panning! Using this has already yielded dividends in terms of spotting game.

I ordered the Micro Pan Head about 2 months ago. it was my first Pan head, but i have used others when hunting with friends. I have to say the workmanship and design are first class.

Takes a bit to get comfortable with it

4-Star - The micro pan head is a great fluid head for my Bino’s and small Leupold Gold Ring spotting scope. It does take some time to get use to it. Make sure you securely tighten the vertical handle. If you don’t your optics wants to fall forward or back. This gets frustrating and actually smashed my finger. Once you get the nuances figured out you’ll love it!!
